This privacy statement discloses the privacy practices for DigitalWork and its partners.

Registration

While using this web site, users are asked to complete a registration form. We request that they provide contact information such as name and e-mail address. If our users request so, we will send information to support our services via an e-mail newsletter or special promotion. Users also can provide optional demographic information such as income level and gender, and unique identifiers such as social security number. We ask for this optional information to enhance a user's subsequent site visits and tailor promotional e-mail messages and newsletters to their needs.

Order

DigitalWork Inc. requests information from users on its order form. Here a user must provide contact information such as name and shipping address, and payment information such as credit card number and expiration date. This information is used for billing purposes and to fill customer orders. If problems with an order arise, this contact information is used to notify users.

A cookie is a piece of data stored on a person's hard drive. It contains information about that person. Cookies are not linked to any personal information. Once a person closes a web browser, the cookie disappears. By setting a cookie on our site, users don't need to enter their passwords more than once. If users reject the cookie, they still can use our site but with limited access. They will not be allowed to participate in our sweepstakes, contests or monthly drawings. Cookies also enable us to track and target interests and enhance user experiences.

Some of our business partners and advertisers also use cookies on our site. DigitalWork Inc. does not have access to or control over these cookies.

Log Files

DigitalWork Inc. uses IP addresses to analyze trends, administer the site, track user movement and gather demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses are not linked to personal information.

Surveys and Contests

From time-to-time our site requests information from users by surveys and contests. Information requested may include contact information such as name and shipping address, and demographic information such as zip code and age. Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be gathered for purposes of monitoring or enhancing user experience. Since participation in these surveys and contests is volutary, users can chose not to disclose their personal information.

Security

This web site takes every precaution to protect user information. When users submit sensitive information on the web site, we protect it both online and offline.

When our registration or order form asks users to enter sensitive information, such as credit card number and social security number, that information is encrypted and protected with secure encryption software in the industry, known as SSL. While on a secure web page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of web browsers – including Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer – becomes locked. When users resume 'surfing,' the lock icon unlocks or opens.

While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also help protect user information offline. All user information – not only the sensitive information mentioned above – is restricted within our offices. Only employees performing a specific task such as billing or customer service can gain access to personal information. Our employees use password-protected screen-savers. When they leave their desks, they must re-enter a password to re-gain access to user information.

Supplementation of Information

To tailor our web site to a user's particular preference, we combine information about user purchasing habits with similar information from our partners. When users make a purchase on or through our web site, their information is collected and shared with DigitalWork Inc. so we can continue to enhance user experience.

Special Offers

We send new members a welcoming e-mail to verify their passwords and usernames. Established members occasionally receive a newsletter and information on products, services and special deals. Out of user respect, we present the option not to receive these types of communications. Please see our choice and opt-out sections below.

Correcting and Updating Personal Information

If a user's personal information changes, or if a user no longer needs our service, we will provide a way to correct, update or remove that user data. This usually can be done at the My Workspace member information page or by e-mailing customer support.

Choice and Opt-out

We always give users the opportunity to decline or 'opt-out' of sharing their information. Our registration and order forms contain an 'opt-out' mechanism, so users who want to purchase a product or service, but don't want to receive future marketing messages, can keep their e-mail addresses off of our prospect lists.

Registered users who no longer wish to receive our newsletter or marketing messages from our providers may opt-out of receiving these communications by logging into our system and clicking the "Update My Profile" link. You can manage all of your subscriptions through the "My Profile" section.

Notification of Changes

DigitalWork Inc. will post any privacy policy changes on its homepage, so our users know what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If we ever use personal information in a manner other than that stated at the time it was collected, we will notify users by e-mail. Users either can accept or decline the use of their information in this different manner.
